Bayonne Announces Bay911(by RAVE Alerts) Alert to Keep Community Informed During Emergency Situations

Aug 16, 2023 – Public safety officials in Bayonne today announced that Bay911 is now available to all residents, replacing the previous SwiftReach911 system. Bay911 from RAVE Alerts is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from state and local authorities to stay informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other emergencies. The switch to Bay911 allows residents to receive alerts via phone, and text, and answer poll questions that will give Bayonne officials critical information during emergency situations. Individuals who are signed up for alerts will receive reliable information. Individuals who were previously signed up for SwiftReach911 will be automatically enrolled in Bay911 but are encouraged to sign up to Bay911 to add additional and updated information to the new platform to ensure accuracy.
